TASMANIAN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
WIND, BRASS & PERCUSSION FELLOWSHIPS

The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra Fellowships offer wind, brass and percussion instrumentalists the opportunity to receive expert coaching from a TSO mentor immediately prior to the TSO Orchestral Career Development.

STAGE ONE:

Participants are guided through the process of preparing for a TSO casual audition, including simulated auditions, lessons on orchestral excerpts and guidance in the performance of solo repertoire, culminating in a casual audition for the TSO at the end of the week.

In addition, fellows receive one-on-one assistance in preparation for the following stage’s TSO Orchestral Career Development repertoire, attend professional development seminars and have the opportunity to discuss their career development with a mentor.

STAGE TWO:

In this stage, fellows join other AYO musicians for the TSO Orchestral Career Development week. Together, they rehearse and perform within the TSO, under the close guidance of mentors.
