National Music Camp Particpants 1948 - present

The first National Music Camp was held at Point Lonsdale in 1948 in association with the National Fitness Council of Victoria. Held annually (except for 1950 and 1951 when a polio outbreak forced the Camps’ cancellation) National Music Camps were the starting point for the first Australian Youth Orchestra in 1957 and continue to be an important part of the AYO’s annual program.
