Recent AYO Alumni event for seasons 1986-1989

It is always wonderful to have Alumni, from all eras, together again, and all past participants of AYO programs are very warmly invited to our Alumni Reunions. Our inaugural Alumni reunions, in 2007, were held in Adelaide, Perth and Sydney, and were shining events in the calendar of 50th Anniversary celebrations of the Australian Youth Orchestra. In 2008, Alumni reunions have been held in January in Canberra, at National Music Camp, and in February in Melbourne, to mark the 50th Anniversary of AYO’s first appearance in Melbourne.

50th Anniversary of AYO 1960
The Australian Youth Orchestra of 1960 coincided with the inaugural Adelaide Festival of Arts. To mark this milestone, AYO plans to host a gathering of Alumni, especially those from AYO 1960, in Sydney in 2010. The reunion will coincide with the farewell concert given by the Australian Youth Orchestra in the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House on Sunday 18 July 2010 prior to their departure on the orchestra’s 20th International Tour.
