AYO will arrange and cover all travel, instrument freight, meals and accommodation costs associated with these programs
Eligibility
- 18–28 years inclusive, as at 1 January 2012
- Minimum standard AMEB AMusA or equivalent
- Brass Quintet open to all French horn, trumpet, trombone and tuba players
- Open to established brass quintets
- String Quartet to all violin, viola and cello players
- Open to established string quartets

AYO Brass Quintet
The AYO Brass Quintet in 2012 will be resident at the New England Conservatorium of Music, a thriving regional institution in beautiful Armidale. The Quintet will participate in the Conservatorium’s active and wide ranging programs, offering a wonderful opportunity to grow as professional chamber musicians.
AYO String Quartet
Based in Townsville and surrounding areas in 2012, reach out with your music-making in remote communities and enjoy some of Australia’s most diverse natural environments. Forming a close knit ensemble over two intense weeks, you will perform and travel around Far North Queensland with like-minded musicians, participate in master-classes with regional communities and benefit from the guidance of leading chamber music professionals.
