Rainer Saville, trumpet 

Rainer is currently in his final year of his BMus (performance) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. In 2010, he was selected for two tours with the SCM Orchestra, one in June to Germany to perform at the music festival “Bronnbacher Musikfrühling”, and a USA tour in October, collaborating with students from the Julliard school of Music, San Francisco Conservatorium, and the University of Colorado in Boulder. During his time at SCM, Rainer has been selected to perform in master classes held by trumpet players such as Hakan Hardenberger, Yigal Melzer, Gabrielle Cassone and Edward Tarr. Rainer is a recipient of the Reuben F Scarf Award for Brass.

Rainer is currently a casual musician with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra, the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. He is also the Principal Trumpet of the Canberra Symphony Orchestra.

Rainer studies with Leanne Sullivan, Principal Trumpet of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra.
