Simone Young returns to Australia to conduct Richard Strauss’ monumental An Alpine Symphony. Witness a day on the mountain unfold – from a stunning sunrise to the spectacular summit – as the musicians of the AYO tackle the challenge of Strauss’ masterful tone poem. Australian soprano Emma Matthews, in possession of an ‘effortlessly dazzling coloratura’, brings sparkle and brilliance to three of Mozart’s most virtuosic concert arias.
