Unfortunately the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra String Fellowships set to commence on 10 May and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra Orchestral Fellowships set to start on 8 June will not go ahead as planned.

Aimed at young musicians on the cusp of their professional career, the AYO Orchestral Career Development programs act as a springboard for those wanting to pursue performance at an elite level, and provide a critical link to some of the country’s leading professionals. What’s involved?

This exciting program begins with one-on-one coaching from a Melbourne Symphony Orchestra mentor, and culminates in an audition for casual engagement with the MSO. Selected fellows can be invited to participate in Stage 2 of the fellowship which offers professional engagement with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra as a casual musician.

What’s involved?

Receive valuable mentoring from a member of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, and refine the skills and knowledge you need to confidently enter the world of orchestral music as a professional musician. Your mentor will guide you through preparation for an audition, and provide unique, one-on-one coaching in concerto and excerpt workshops.
