Behind every great performance is a team of dedicated administrators, and the AYO Orchestral Management program gives a glimpse into the many rewarding roles that exist in the orchestral world, and provides students with the hands-on experience they need to excel in the field.

In 2014, Elissa took up the position of Production Manager at the Hartford Symphony Orchestra in Connecticut, before returning to Sydney in 2015 as the Production Coordinator for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. She has toured with the orchestra on many occasions, including their 2018 International tour to Europe. Read more


What's involved?

As an orchestral management participant you’ll learn the essentials of stage management, foresight and planning, and put your new skills to the test as you manage concerts and rehearsals at AYO Autumn Music Camp. Your tutor, Elissa Seed, will be with you every step of the way to ensure that you master the essentials of orchestral management.

Elissa has a wealth of experience in arts administration, having worked with the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Hartford Symphony Orchestra in Connecticut and Sydney Symphony Orchestra. In the run-up to the program Elissa will lead group preparation sessions with participants online.
