AYO National Music Camp 2018 Tutor

Rosie Turner grew up playing cornet in a brass band. She completed her Bachelor of Music at the University of Sydney, after which she started to pursue orchestral playing through AYO’s National Music Camp and orchestral seasons. After working with various orchestras around Australia and studying with Yoram Levy to prepare for school auditions in the U.S., she moved to Philadelphia and spent two years at the Curtis Institute of Music with David Bilger. On graduating in 2011, Rosie took up the position of second trumpet with the Macau Orchestra. She completed four seasons in Macau before returning home to work with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra Victoria. In August 2017 Rosie started as section trumpet with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
